Peanut Butter Rice Krispies
It was recently my birthday and instead of yellow cake with chocolate frosting (my all time favorite). I decided I wanted peanut butter rice krispies! They were so good, it was a fantastic choice on my part. These are so easy to make and very creamy yet crispy…yumm! I do still technically have a few hours until the new year resolutions kick in. haha.
You start by mixing the sugar and Karo syrup until the sugar dissolves and it starts to boil.
Then you add your peanut butter.
Remove from heat and add the rice krispies.
Press them into a lightly greased pan.
Melt your chocolate and butterscotch chips and spread evenly over the top.
Ingredients:
1 cup Karo syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups rice krispies
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
Directions:
1. Bring the Karo syrup and sugar to a boil. Stir in the peanut butter and remove from heat. Stir in the rice krispies. Press into a lightly greased 9×13 inch pan.
2. Melt the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips, mix together and spread evenly on the rice krispies. Let chocolate topping cool completely before cutting.
