Cornflake Surprise Revealed

December 26, 2010

HELLO ALL!!! It has been a crazy couple of days, let me share some highlights. On Christmas Eve we took Lil Sas to the doctor because she was up all night coughing and crying and found out she had an ear ache and pneumonia! Not ideal timing. So we have been pampering her for the past few days and enjoying family, but MERRY CHRISTMAS late!

Anyway, onto the cornflake surprise! Shhhhhhhh. Remember it’s a secret!

It’s simple, cornflakes, white chocolate and peanuts (I used walnuts for this batch…not nearly as delicious as peanuts)!!! It is so quick and easy to make and everyone raves about it.

All you do is melt your chocolate and pour it over your cornflakes and peanuts. Then mix with a large wooden spoon trying not to break the cornflakes.
Pour it out onto some wax paper to dry. I like to do it about an inch thick so it makes better chunks.

When it is dry, peel the wax paper up and it should break into big chunks to eat and enjoy!

Ingredients:

You can pretty much use any amounts you want depending on what you like. Sometimes I like more chocolate or peanuts than others.

Cornflakes
Peanuts (my mom uses salted cocktail peanuts and my brother prefers to make his with dry roasted. Both are delicious)
White chocolate (Wilton is always a good choice)

Directions:

1. In a large bowl pour your cornflakes and peanuts.

2. Melt your white chocolate according to package directions. Pour over the cornflakes and peanuts and mix with a large wooden spoon trying not to crunch the cornflakes.

3. Pour onto wax paper to cool. Break into chunks when cooled.
